Fee Schedule 2026:                                                                            (note: fees are inclusive of gst)


  • Memorial Cemetery Plot
  • Single (depth), purchase ERB only                                              $ 2,500 
  • Double (depth/side), purchase ERB only                                    $ 3,500


  • Lawn Cemetery Plot
  • Single (depth), purchase ERB only                                              $ 2,500
  • Double (depth/side), purchase ERB only                                    $ 3,500
  • Bronze Plaque – on application                                      (Plaque Size  255mm X 155mm)

  • Interment of Ashes – Columbarium/re-opening of existing plot/ERB 
  • Selected niche/plot, purchase ERB only                                      $   440
  • Bronze Plaque – on application                                                                                                                         
  • Exclusive Rights of Burial (ERB)                                                     $ 2,500                         
  • If available, a plot can be pre-purchased. A certificate will be issued on payment of fee.
  • The ERB is only honoured if the certificate is produced at time of death.                      


  • Fee for use of Church - to be paid to Midlands Anglican directly           $   480

  • Fee for Rector/Celebrant  - $400.00 to be paid to Midlands Anglican Parish


General:  

  • As cemeteries are consecrated ground, all burials and the interment of ashes are to take place within an Anglican service conducted by the Rector of the Parish or other persons authorised by the Rector or Archdeacon.
  • The family of the deceased is responsible for making all arrangements for the burial or interment with the Funeral Service of its choice and for payment of the grave digger.
  • The care of the burial plot and any monuments, including the surroundings, is the on-going responsibility of the family  Ref. https://www.legislation.tas.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-2002-004
  • The parish is responsible for the general upkeep of the cemetery only.

Midlands Anglican is responsible for managing the following cemeteries:

 

  • Campbell Town             St Luke’s Anglican Cemetery & Columbarium, 71-73 High Street,

                                             Anglican (Old Cemetery), 21 Church Street


  • Ross                             Pioneers Cemetery, 34 Park Street (Anglican)
  •                                       Anglican Cemetery, 33 Waterloo Street
  •                                       St John’s Church , Ross Columbarium

  • Tunbridge                     Anglican Cemetery & Columbarium, cnr. Midlands Hwy & Station Street

  • Oatlands                      St Peter’s Anglican Cemetery & Columbarium, 11 William Street

  • Bagdad                         Anglican Cemetery & Columbarium, 42 School Road

Midlands Anglican manage the following until sold when they will be managed by the new Cemetery managers.

  • Melton Mowbray         Anglican Cemetery (All Saints Church), 9-11 Blackwell Road


A copy of the Application for Interment or Application for Certificate of ERB (see attached) is required to be completed for each burial/ERB and returned to the office for burial records.

 NB. Fees for burial plots go towards the upkeep of the cemeteries. Cemetery managers are responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery for 100 years following a burial. The care of the burial plot itself and any memorials is the responsibility of the family of the deceased.
